World Bank lauds Balochistan Education Project

ISLAMABAD: The Representative of World Bank Mr. Yuan Haren has lauded Balochistan Education Project calling it a gateway for investment in provincial education sector.

He shared these views on Friday during a ceremony held in Islamabad added the World Bank has been providing assistance to the provincial government in order to revamp provincial educational structure,

“Government of Balochistan and staff of Balochistan Education Project with their utmost efforts accomplished major goals of this specific project which would change educational plight of Balochistan.” Ms. Yuan Haren said added World Bank would impart grant for educational development.

Director Balochistan Education Project Ghulam Mustafa informed the ceremony regarding accomplishments of the project added after 18thamendment provinces took charge on education departments thus provincial government initiated education sector plan for 2013-18.

“725 Primary Schools with facilities have been established in the province particularly in remote corners of Balochistan where 40,000 out of schools children being educated with quality educational environment. Director BEP said added dozens of Model and High Schools have been upgraded.

“More than 800 dilapidated buildings of government schools have been refurnished under the projects.”

Former Director Asfand Yar Kakar said, the BEP has been ending darkness of illiteracy from Balochistan from its beginning and we are glad the we started this project back in 2015 and it is still continue with full hard work and achievements.
