QUETTA: Pakistan Chest Society Balochistan has arranged programs on the eve of World Asthma Day. In the wake of World Asthma Day, the Fatima Jinnah Chest Hospital arranged sessions from May 2 to 6 regarding Quit Smoking.

QUETTA: Pakistan Chest Society Balochistan has arranged programs on the eve of World Asthma Day. In the wake of World Asthma Day, the Fatima Jinnah Chest Hospital arranged sessions from May 2 to 6 regarding Quit Smoking.

The Coordinator of these all programs, Dr Sanaullah Tareen, provided information regarding to the diagnosis, causes and spread of Asthma to the participants including senior doctors, lady doctors and paramedical staff.

Meanwhile question answer sessions were also organized in which dissection were made about quit smoking.

As the session took place in the sacred month of Ramazan, thereby discussions were made regarding the detrimental effects of smoking on the health. Meanwhile smoking was considered as the cause of pollution in society and poorly affects almost all organs of the body.

The members of respective departments too vowed to take strict actions against addicted people and the laws would be implemented with the spirit of the law.

The key suggestions were also given in sessions including the restrictions on early age children to sell and purchase of cigarettes. Parents should keep close high on their children to keep their children immune from smoking.

Meanwhile, the guest Ayesha Siddiqa while addressing to the participants praised the services of society and distributed awards among post graduate resident doctors.
