QUETTA: The Joint opposition parties and central Anjuma e Tajiran have announced shutter down strike against vulnerable law and order in Balochistan called provincial government incompetent to rule people of Balochistan.

Addressing a joint news conference in opposition chamber of BA the joint opposition accompanied with members of Anjuman e Tajiran have called shutter down strike on May 17 in order to record protest against provincial government’s failure in maintain law and order and controlling inflation.

Opposition leader Malik Sikandar Advocate, Malik Naseer Shahwani, Nasrullay Zeeray, Akhtar Hussain Langove, President Traders Association Abdul Raheem Kakar and other leaders were present in the news conference.

“The opposition parties shared various recommendations in order to save provincial budget from being lapsed but provincial government didn’t take serious our debates in BA sessions.” Malik sikandar Advocate said added 80% provincial budget going to be lapsed that wouldn’t in favour of provincial economy.

“President and Prime Minister visited Balochistan but didn’t announce any relief package for the victims of torrential rain and flood.”

Sharing views on recent uptick of violence in the province he said, law and order situation being disturbed in Balochistan while despite presence of security forces terrorist attacked Gwadar’s most secured luxury hotel which raised questions over provincial government’s talk claims on security,

“In pretext of provincial government failure in maintaining law and order and incompetency, we have decided to call shutter down strike in Quetta on May 17.” Opposition leader said.

Lamenting over burgeoning inflation President Anjuman e Tajiran said, since new government came to power, poor people have been yelling over high price of all items which clearly shows the failed policies of federal and provincial governments,

“Unfortunately district administration deliberately disturbing local businessmen community, butcher community was agreed to sell beef and mutton on government’s announced rate but inadequate attitude of district administration forced them to call strike.” He added.

Taking the jab on provincial government over misuse of Public Sector Development Fund (PSDP) 2018-19 BNP’s Malik Naseer Shahwani said, people of Balochistan didn’t see any development project in physical PSDP while our stance over lapse of funds has proven true,

“Current Government didn’t able to start progress on High Court’s proposed sectors while Jam Kamal led government didn’t show seriousness over committees over various provincial issues.” Mr. Shahwani added.

Chairman Public Accounts Committee Akhtar Hussain Langove alleged, the district administration was busy in taking extortion money from poor vegetable vendors and push-cart drivers,

“Despite their claims sacrificial animals being smuggled to Punajb, Iran and Afghanistan which forced local beef and mutton association to increase prices during the holy month.” Langove said added state is responsible to ensure relief for poor masses.
