GWADAR: An alleged militant has been killed in exchangeof fire with Security Forces in Tump area of Kech district, on Saturday.

Security officials said that armed men opened fire on FCpersonnel in Gomazai area of Tump when they were passing through thearea. The FC men took position and returned fire.

Heavy exchange of fire continued from both sites for sometime, resulting in killing of one of the attacker. Other armed escapedfrom the scene.

Security officials handed over the body to levies foridentification. The man was identified as Mehrab Khan. Security forceshave launched a search operation in the area to trace out the armedmilitants involved in the attack.
Meanwhile, levies seized 1500 kg fine quality hashish froma truck in Talar area in Pasni Tehsel of Gwadar district on Saturday.

Assistant Commissioner Pasni Jamil Ahmed Rind said that truck was onits way to the port city of Gwadar coming from Turbat.
Truck, which was loaded with heap found, parked at themain highway due to finishing petrol. Levies force patrolling in thearea checked the truck and during searching huge quantity of hashishrecovered which was hiding under the bundles of heap loaded in thetruck. No arrest was reported in this connection.

Deputy Commissioner Gwadar Wasim Ahmed announced a cashaward of Rs. 250000 for levies personnel who were part of the leviesteam who recovered hug quantity of hashish.
