At least four Rapid Response Group (RRG)’s soldiers and 11 people including security personnel received injuries as an IED blast targeted two police mobiles guarding a mosque in Satellite town during Traweeh prayers.

The banned Tehreek e Taliban (TTP) claimed responsibility of the attack.

“Terrorists have been targeted forces because we have been shielding masses and protecting worship places.” DIG Quetta Abdul Razzaq Cheema said while visiting crime spot.

The martyred RRG soldiers had been laid to rest in their native villages of Jhal Magsi and Jaffar Abad while six injured were being treated in Civil Hospital’s Trauma Center.

The blast caused severe damages in the areas as three vehicles and near building of Huda Mosque partially damaged. The mosque administration claimed that, we had informed police regarding illegal parking stand but no one takes it seriously,

“We have been fearing of illegal parking of cycles, motorbikes and taxis, but despite numerous talks with Deputy Commissioner and Police not seen any action over our complaints.” Qari Yameen administrator of Huda mosque said.

Crime Investigation Authority (CIA) and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) teams have collected all evidences from the crime scene while BD confirmed the IED was fitted in a motorbike.

Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani has directed security officials to review security of the province and ordered tightens security during the holy month of Ramadan.
