t is very necessary to mention that women are the integral part of the society. Phenomenal changes have taken place across the world in recent years, but the status and fate of women has not changed much. In Pakistan, their situation has become much worse.

We were recently rated as one of the worst countries in the world when it comes to the way we treat women. More than 60 years after independence, 80% of Pakistani women are still subject to domestic violence. Our country is ranked 82 out of 93 counties on the gender development index and 152 out of 156 countries on the gender empowerment measure.

We are also among a handful of countries where there are negative sex ratios of 100 women to 108 men. Though women have a potential and dimensional role in a society as well as in an organization, yet they have been neglected from the participation of societal organization. Our country’s backwardness can directly be attributed to the denied role of women in country’s development. The developments of all developed countries are directly connected with the participation of women in societal organization.

Quaid-e-Azam said in speech in 1944:

“No nation can rise to the height of glory unless your women are side by side with you;we are victims of evil customs. It is a crime against of humanity that our women are shut up within the four walls on the houses of prisoners.”

Patriarchal men say not to education for women. Not only this, many women are also denied the opportunity for the job and earn livelihood. Their choices are limited due to the social and cultural constraints and inherent gender basis in the labour market. They also lack supportive facilities such as children care, transport and accommodation in the formal sector of the labour market. Women’s labour power is considered inferior because of employer’s predetermined nation of women’s primary role as homemakers. As a result of discrimination,

their role is low paid leads lack of potential upward mobility. However, the prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) strongly emphasized on education by saying that,” It is the prime duty of men and women to acquire education “.Islam is a comprehensive religion that gives women a great importance. However, the narrowminded and biased religious people have always misinterpreted it to serve their wicked purpose. So, it doesn’t that we are giving equal chances to the women in every sphere of life.

I will mention these points with the reference of Huma Raisani that she has an integral role in the empowerment of women and against of the violence of women which occur in the society. According to her, women is just like a catalyst”which always active the reaction. There is a strong relationship between the developments of any society with the integral role of women in societal organization.

The main reason behind the backwardness and the cause of violence of women in every corner of society probably in Pakistan is Sardari, Nawabi, Jagirdari wadera and Chawdary system where they don’t want to see them be development and become the part of social activities. These are the main constraint in the way of women empowerment and gender equality. The mobilization of women in a society is creating constraint due to the above factor where they don’t want to promote their women in any sector of the economy.

Furthermore, they are promoting the cause of women’s status and role in the society. It must be admitted and applauded that these courageous women have not only created awareness among the fellow women about their strength and importance, but have also embedded themselves into the platforms where their demands could meet success.

Now the time has come to actively integrate them in countries affairs so that we can faster pace of progress of country. The task is very simple, and women have to come out from the shackles of male superiority.

However, in the empowerment of women that NGO’s play a key role to conduct awareness program probability in rural areas to remove the inequality between men and women and also launch some sorts of technical institution which helps to the women and become the part of society as well as economy and able to earn enough income to improve their living standard.

It is requested to the current government to take serious action against the violence on women and stop acid attacking on women and also maintain the level of gender equality and help the women to promote their life in every sphere of life. However, it would be a better initiate for the empowerment of women and also help for the progress of a country.
