QUETTA: Provincial President Pakistan Peoples’ Party Haji Ali Madad Jattak has strongly condemned downsizing in media industry said, PPP always stood with journalist community over their due rights and security vowed we will never compromised on freedom of press.

QUETTA: Provincial President Pakistan Peoples’ Party Haji Ali Madad Jattak has strongly condemned downsizing in media industry said, PPP always stood with journalist community over their due rights and security vowed we will never compromised on freedom of press.

He shared these views while addressing a welcome ceremony for newly elected body of Press Club Quetta on Sunday expressed hopes that the journalist community would continue raising basic woes of Balochistan,

“PPP always played its due role for strengthening democracy and parliament and Journalist community remained supportive vocal for democracy, we stood shoulder to shoulder with journalists who martyred in the line of duty while supporting democracy.” Haji Ali Madad Jattak said.

Newly elected President Quetta Press Club Raza ur Rehman, General Secretary Zafar Baloch and elected body participated in the welcome dinner ceremony held in Jattak’s residence.

Expressing irk upon performance of current provincial government Provincial President PPP said, Jam Kamal led provincial government wasn’t competent to run provincial affairs because they haven’t any vision for suppressed people of Balochistan,

“We are opposed of nationalist politics in Balochistan because it prevailed hate in the province, today hostile agencies attempting to fuel tension among brotherly nations in our soil and we would defend our country from all vicious attempts of enemies.” Ali Madad Jattak said.

Addressing the ceremony Provincial Secretary General of PPP Syed Iqbal Shah said, PPP’s Jiyalas and Journalist community in Pakistan strived together for democracy despite facing interactions,

“Politicians and Journalists have strong connections therefore PPP’s leadership always supported free and fair journalism in the country.”

Sharing views President QPC Raza ur Rehman said, indeed today media industry facing hard time and journalists being pressurized as they victimized during dictatorship, “We have banned Information Minister Fawad Chaudery from entering in Quetta Press Club due to his role in conspiracies against journalist community.”
