QUETTA: Chief Minister Jam Kamal while chairing a weekly meeting to review progress of provincial development projects ordered authorities to expedite work on project which of funds have been released.

QUETTA: Chief Minister Jam Kamal while chairing a weekly meeting to review progress of provincial development projects ordered authorities to expedite work on project which of funds have been released.

Provincial Minister Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Meer Muhammad Khan Lehri were present the meeting while provincial sectaries briefed the CM regarding performance and affairs of their departments.

The meeting also reviewed the dengue outbreak in Turbat and decided to embark spray, provision of necessary equipment and launch an awareness campaign among masses regarding dengue virus.

Secretary Helath said, medicine worth of two billion rupees has reached to its end phase for government hospitals while 700 million released for purchasing new equipment for hospitals.

The meeting decided that process of medicine purchase would be done according to the need of DHQs and BHUs in next financial budget while new health mobile units would be established.

CM Jam Kamal directed Finance and P&D departments to immediately embark preparation of next physical budget for development projects.

Secretary Education informed regarding progress of basic infrastructure of Shelter less, Middle, High and Model Schools under Chief Minister Initiative.

Secretary PHE informed the meeting regarding new continued and new projects added we have issued tender for 79 projects while 84 tenders would be issued cost of 616 million.

Discussing projects related to new dams the meeting was briefed that 78 new dams have been completed while work on new dams underway that would end water shortage in the province.
