QUETTA: The divisional bench of Balochistan High Court comprising on Justice Jamal Mandokhail and Justice Kamran Mullahkhail has reserved judgment on Provincial Public Sector Development Fund (PSDP).

QUETTA: The divisional bench of Balochistan High Court comprising on Justice Jamal Mandokhail and Justice Kamran Mullahkhail has reserved judgment on Provincial Public Sector Development Fund (PSDP).

During Friday’s hearing Additional Chief Secretary Abdul Rehman Buzdar, Secretary Finance Noor ul Haq Baloch and Advocate General Balochistan Arbab Tahir Kasi appeared before the court.

The petitioner who filed a petition regarding provincial PSDP back in 2016 told the court, current government has released more than 5 billion rupees for development schemes.

Expressing indignation the court said, we should remove the petition so the government could whatever they want, “You people are employees of the stat not the government, no one would point finger upon your work if you people ensuring merit.” Justice Kamran Mullahkhail said told the provincial government’s representative during the hearing.

Giving remarks over the PSDP Justice Jamal Mandokhail said, indeed previous development schemes couldn’t be unnecessary, we are not sitting for orders but to elucidate constitution added we can’t run development schemes illegally.

Secretary Finance Noor ul Haq told the court that provincial government has decided to amend provincial local government act 2010.

Former Chief Agricultural submitted proposal regarding PSDP on which the court directed Additional Chief Secretary to review the proposal.

Former Finance Minister Meer Khalid Langove also appeared in the court during PSDP’s hearing said, there is perception that the court has halted PSDP.

Replying to Mr. Langove Justice Jamal Mandokhail said, indeed we halted some illegal schemes from provincial PSDP.

Interesting exchange of words took place between Justice Jamal Mandokhail and Meer Khalid Langove, “I think you would again join the cabinet as Minister.” Justice Jamal Mandokhail said.

Khalid Langove replied, pray that I would become Chief Minister, “I have spent three years in jail and not willing to go again.”

“Politicians run the country under the constitution, being public representative and Minister, I have built schools and hospitals in Khaliqabad.”

Justice Jamal Mandokhail told Chief Secretary Abdul Rehman Buzdar to review the schemes whether meeting the terms and conditions so induct them in next PSDP.

Directing the government the Balochistan High Court said, next PSDP should be prepared under the rules and reserved the judgment.
