QUETTA: The Provincial Government, FC Balochistan and Pak Army have safely rescued 150 Hindu Pilgrims stranded in flash flood in District Kachhi and safely shifted to Shoran.

Talking to media Deputy Commissioner Kachhi Meer Sultan Bugti said, District Administration, Frontier Corps, Pak Army and Levis personnel participated in rescue operation and safely rescue 150 Hindu Pilgrims stranded in flash flood caused by torrential rains.

“The rescued Hindu pilgrims spent night in Gandawa later all pilgrims were transported to Shoran through passenger coaches.” Meer Sultan Bugti said added three helicopters of Pak Army participated in the relief and rescue operation.

At least 150 Hindu Pilgrims belonged to Sindh and Balochistan province came to attend the annual Besakhi festival when they stranded in flash flood in District Kachhi. They stuck in mountainous areas of Kachi and dis-connected due to lack of mobile signals.

Taking notice over the issue Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani directed authorities to rescue the pilgrims by utilizing all available resources.

“Fortunately all Hindu Pilgrims were rescue safely and shifted to safe places.” MPA Dinesh Kumar said added condition of all pilgrims is stable while they returned to their home towns.
