QUETTA: At least 12 people were injured in a bomb explosion in Dera Allahyar town of Jaffarabad district while the teachers of Education Programme were escaped hurt in another blast took place in the same district close to a vehicle of UNICEF, on Tuesday.

It was third bomb blast in the last 24 hours in Nasirabad and Jaffarabad two neighboring district. In the last night blast 12 people had been injured while motorcycle blast targeted a vehicle of Counter Terrorist Department in Dera Murad Jamali in which CTD officials were travelling.

Police officials said that unknown people planted explosive device in a motorcycle and parked it at Sobatpur Chowk in Dera Allahyar town which was detonated with remote control, resulting in injuring 12 people who were present in the area.

Police and personnel of Frontier Corps rushed to the explosion site after receiving information and after rescuing the injured people shifted them to district hospital Dear Murad Jamali. “Injured received multiple wounds in the blast which rocked the entire-town,” hospital official said and added that the condition of four injured is stated.

Windowpanes of various nearby building were smashed due to impact of the powerful explosion heard in vast area of the Dera Allahyar town. “It was an improvised explosive device, detonated with remote control,” Ayaz Baloch SSP Jaffarabad said, adding that the four seriously injured were shifted to Larkana for treatment.

After the first explosion, another blast took place in Goth Wahid Bakhsh Khosa area Mir Hassan close to a vehicle of UNICEF in the afternoon. Police said the male and female teachers including Bangul Khan Mastoi of Education Support Programme Nasirabad was on its way to home in UNICEF vehicle while retiring inspection of the schools when blast was took place close to the vehicle.

As result of the blast the UNICEF vehicle was badly damaged. However male and female teachers traveling in the vehicle remained unhurt.
Police officials said that the target of the terrorists was vehicle of the UNICEF. Two blasts with the span of 24 fours hours caused panic among the people of both towns.

Security forces reached in the area and started search operation in both the districts to trace out the elements involved in the powerful explosions.
