TURBAT: The Minister for Defense Production Madam Zubaida Jalal has said that Federal Government would extend full support for the development of higher education in this part of the country.

TURBAT: The Minister for Defense Production Madam Zubaida Jalal has said that Federal Government would extend full support for the development of higher education in this part of the country.

While speaking at a ceremony held in University of Turbat here on Friday, she said that concrete steps would be taken to preserve the cultural heritage of this part of the country.

She assured her full support to the UoT management in the efforts to establish department of Archeology in Turbat University. While speaking at the occasion the Managing Director (MD) Pakistan Bait-Ul-Mal Aon Abbas Buppi appreciated the efforts taken by the Federal Minister Zubaida Jalal for the promotion of education in Balochistan.

He assured that Pakistan Bait-Ul-Mal would take all possible steps to provide financial assist to the talented and needy students of Turbat University enabling them to pursue their higher study so that they can play a vital role in the development and prosperity of Pakistan in general and Balochistan in particular.

He said that “Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan is a visionary leader and Pakistan is moving towards prosperity and economic stability under his inspiring leadership”.

He said that the present government would stand true to his words in terms of providing a great learning atmosphere through country including far flung areas of the country.

While welcoming the Federal Minister and MD Bait-Ul-Mal at Turbat University the Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir said that “the students of this region are second to none and university of Turbat is committed to provide an ideal learning environment to its students and facilitate them in whatever way possible to bring them at par with the students of other province.

VC thanked Federal Minister Zubaida Jalal and MD Bait-Ul-Mal for taking keen interest in uplifting his institution. Chairperson Education Department Mehnaz Aslam also spoke at this occasion.

Earlier a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between University of Turbat (UoT) and Pakistan Bait-Ul-Mal during a ceremony held in video conference hall of Turbat University.

According to the MoU, the Pakistan Bait-Ul-Mal would provide financial assistance to 50 talented and needy student of the University of Turbat.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir on behalf of University of Turbat and Managing Director Aon Abbas Buppi from Pakistan Bait-Ul Mal signed on the MoU.

Federal Minister for Defense Production Madam Zubaida Jalal, Registrar UoT Ghulam Farooq, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Dean Prof Dr. Abdul Saboor, Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Prof Dr Gul Hassan, Director Gwadar campus Ijaz Ahmed, Deputy Registrar Ganguzar Baloch, focal person PM laptop scheme, focal person student financial aid and Chairpersons of various teaching departments were also present at this occasion.

Meanwhile MD Pakistan Bai-Ul-Mal Aon Abbas Buppi distributed cheques, sewing machines and wheel chairs between deserving students, women and especial persons.

While Federal Minister for Defense Production Zubaida Jalal distributed laptops among students under Prime Minister Laptop Scheme.
