QUETTA: Director General, Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) retired Major Bashir Ahmed and Special Magistrate Bahadur Khan on Thursday conducted raids at different schools and confiscated cache of carbonated drinks from their canteens.

Talking to journalists, Bashir Ahmed said that no one would allow to play with our children`s lives, despite the ban drinks were being sold and conducing raids at educational institutions aimed to stop them storing and selling drinks within their institute jurisdictions.

“Strict action would be launched across the province from first April against institutions, owners farming vegetables with wastewater and restaurants located on highways” he said adding that operations also be carried out against sellers of substandard food items, blenders in Milk, Yogurt and  Cooking oil.
