BALLOKI  – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Saturday asserted that ‘two historic Non-Reconciliation Ordinances (NROs)’ offered to Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari’ were responsible for the current economic crisis in the country.

Reportedly, he addressed the general public at the “Plant for Pakistan” campaign at Balloki Headworks in Kasur.
He said that the NRO implied to forgive criminals.

He stated that Musharraf’s NRO to former premier Nawaz Sharif and Zardari’s NRO in the Swiss bank accounts case are the reasons for the country’s rising debts.

“The government will be revolting with the country, if it grants NRO to anyone.”

Meanwhile, he planted a sapling at the forest reserve.

Earlier, the PM took to Twitter and firmly stated that government-owned lands would be recovered from land grabbers and would be transformed into forests and wildlife parks in a bid to curb climate change and pollution in Pakistan.

Reportedly, under ‘Plant for Pakistan’ drive, a forest reserve would be developed on 1,500 acres of land.

Meanwhile, Punjab’s Environment Secretary told the media that the government has retrieved 2,500 acres of government land from land grabbers.
