QUETTA: Two personnel of Frontier Corps were martyred and a passerby got injured in firing by unknown armed motorcyclists in Loralai main Bazaar area of Loralai town, on Saturday.

QUETTA: Two personnel of Frontier Corps were martyred and a passerby got injured in firing by unknown armed motorcyclists in Loralai main Bazaar area of Loralai town, on Saturday.

Police officials said that two FC personnel went to Majeed Market area where unknown armed men riding motorcycle opened fire upon them.

“Both FC men, who received multiple bullet injuries, succumbed to their serious wounds on the spot,” a senior Police officer said,, adding that one person got injured  in the firing.

The armed men after firing escaped from the spot, Police and personnel of Frontier Corps rushed to the site soon after receiving information about the firing incident and shifted bodies and injured to district hospital Loralai.

Police described it target killing. “The firing incident is target killing,” Nasir Shah SHO Loralai Police station said, adding that it could be part of the series of  terror attacks taken place in one and half month in Loralai.

The deceased were identified as Hawaldar Alaudin belongs of Luki Marwat and Ls-Naik Muhammad Anwar of Kark.  The injured include Shamsullah a resident of Loralai.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan condemned the terror attack and expressed his sorrow over the martyrdom of the two FC personnel and offered his condolence and expressed sympathy grief family.

He said that such coward attacks the terrorist; the terrorists could not undermine the resolve of security forces and government. He said that government and security forces will continue war against terrorists and their facilitators.
Jam Kamal ordered that security measures should be increased in Loralai and strict action should be taken against the terrorists involved in recent attacks.

So far no group claimed responsibility of the attack on FC soldiers but armed groups like banned TTP’s network active in Loralai since last month targeting security forces and civilians.

Loralai district under a grip of violence since January 2019. At least 10 among nine policemen were killed in gun and suicide attacks on January 29 after terrorists stormed the DIG Office.

On 1st January terrorists with sophisticated weapons and suicide jackets launched rampage on Loralai Cantt but forces’ timely action foiled the attack and perished the attackers.
