KARACHI: Speaker Balochistan Assembly Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has said that we have derailed Nawab Sanaullah Zehri’s provincial government by spending just 1, 50000 rupees in Balochistan. The separatist movement in Balochistan has end. Military is not disappearing any innocent from Balochistan.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari has not gave any money for the changing of government in Balochistan, said Quddus Bizenjo, adding that a total money of 1,50000 was spent on food for people in Balochistan to end the Zehri’s government. PPP, PML-N governments just focused on Punjab and Sindh and totally ignored Balochistan, he said.

While speaking to a Karachi Press Club’s program “Meet the Press” on Monday at KPC, Speaker Balochistan Assembly Abdul Quddus Bizenjo said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has never gave respect to the elected members of Balochistan, adding that even Nawaz Sharif have not invite any of Balochistan’s government official for a cup of tea in his tenure. We are not against development in Punjab but our demand was that all provinces should be treated equally, said Bizenjo.

Discussing about the ruling Balochistan Awami Party *BAP), from which Bizenjo belong, he said that only Balochi and Pashtun nationalist and religious parties were traditionally active in the province’s politics and there was a vacuum of a mainstream political party that represent residents of all ethnicities, tribes and sects. “My father remained associated with the PML-N for more than three decades and I was in Pakistan Muslim League -Quaid faction, but when a group of politicians that were interested in national level politics decided to form a province’s own political party, I joined it,” Quddus said.

Former CM Balochistan added that Baloch, Pashtuns, Hazaras, settlers and all other communities are part of the BAP. We were blamed for derailing of PML-N’s government in Balochistan, said Bizenjo, adding that Asif Ali Zardari a tribal man and we have good relations with Zardari. PPP Co-chairman gave respects to the people of Balochistan, he said.

The Province got developed in military rule not in democratic governments, said former CM, adding that without federal government’s help development work is impossible in Balochistan.  National anthem is reciting rest of the province in schools without any fear, said BA speaker.

Talking about missing person’s issue, Quddus Bizenjo said that” some of the people are missing from Balochistan, but not any innocent was disappeared by military from Balochistan.” Some people themselves move to Afghanistan, he said” the people who were picked up by intelligence agencies, we have talked to the higher authorities for their release, Bizenjo said.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has took the issue of missing persons, said former CM, adding that how could Pakistan Army take innocent people in custody.

Quddus Bizenjo said that the separatist groups in the Balochistan have been weakened to great extent because of successful military operation and a large number of its supporters have mainstreaming themselves by surrendering their arms.

Bizenjo claiming that military operations had shattered the network of Baloch separatist groups in the province, he said that he is against the word ‘angry leaders’ for those who are involved in the killing innocent people. “They are terrorists and India has been funding their leaders sitting in Europe,” he said. He said that India is still interfering in some specific areas of Balochistan by supporting separatist groups and their main objective is to spoil the Gwadar port project.

India still has some influence in one part of Balochistan, said speaker Balochistan assembly, adding that the dialogue with angry Baloch and separatists in Balochistan under process. “But because of sacrifices of our security forces and police and political leaders, India’s nefarious conspiracy has been failed, he said.”

“In my district Awaran, badly affected from militancy and natural disaster, issues were not resolved because of it,” he said. Separatist leader Dr, Allah Nazar has threaten to me not to participate in election, said Quddus Bizenjo.

Speaker Balochistan Assembly said that Balochistan is Pakistani’s largest province by area, constituting near half of country’s total land mass but budget in the N.F.C Award is insufficient for resolving its issues and until 2011, it was hard to pay salaries to the government employees from the available funds Balochistan received total 260 billion rupees budget but we paid 235 billion rupees of salaries to the government employees, he said.
