Balochistan is facing the serious challenges in education sectors from past few decades where More than a million children are denied basic education facilities as there are no schools in human settlements in far flung areas.  The drop-out is huge in term of Balochistan as there is fewer middle or secondary schools comparing to bigger number of one-teacher prime schools in remote areas of the Province.

Balochistan is land of natural resources but unfortunately people could not get quality education in this province. The Primary schools in different parts of Balochistan are facing serious problems such as water, toilets, poor condition of buildings and furniture. In some of schools there are no proper teachers who can teach the children in rural areas of Balochistan.

Due to the poor educational system, majority of the children in Balochistan get upset and they decided to left schools and quit their education at primary level. Recently, the Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has chaired a meeting to review the performance of Education Department.

Chief Minister Balochistan said the provincial government has released funds for educational development directing authorities to make sure effective system of attendance for teachers and students. The Provincial Minister for Education Muhammad Khan Lehri, Provincial Minister for Information and Higher Education Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, representatives of UNIECF and educational department’s officials attend the meeting to review provincial educational affairs.

Following action against ghost teachers, 16 Teachers were sacked from serviced due to absenteeism, Secretary briefed.” Whereas the Government of Balochistan has declared mandatory while Education Department’s approval for establishing new schools in Balochistan and in this regards education department to take expert’s assistance during Schools’ construction.

Balochistan was the only province in Pakistan where GIS Profile System is fully functional and complete data of all enrolled children and the department has been making sure teachers and students’ attendance through RTSM System. Jam Kamal directed to restore educational activities in all non-functional schools and new appointments must be started according to Cabinet’s guidelines to start education in schools closed due to lack of teachers.

The Education department to make sure at least one Model and High Schools in all Districts along with IT Lab and Hostels, said CM, adding that “Our teachers were responsible to educate our children therefore the education department should focus on Teachers’ Training Program.” The Billions are being spent annually on normal and routine education from which minimum number of people are enjoying real benefits and bulk of the funds are going waste as most of the teachers at the primary and secondary level were found to be unfit or they lacked proper education as teachers.

Previous government has also imposed an emergency in education sector to promote the quality education at primary, higher and university level in Balochistan but unfortunately they have to implement on their plan in this province.

There is a need to create awareness in rural and urban areas for quality education with teachers and common people so the standard of education in may be better and it may be produce brilliant and shining students in rural of Balochistan. The provincial government should take serious steps for the betterment of education in Balochistan.

The Incumbent Government is working a lot for education but we will suggest them we don’t need Four walls instead it spend this money on bringing well qualified teachers, facilitate the old institutions and make sure the students are either in safe hands. Somehow we will be able to see a brighter future for our youngsters.
