QUETTA:  A seminar was arranged regarding the evaluation of Public Health Engineering and Wasa’s performance of last 100 days.

The Provincial Minister of PHE and Wasa, Noor Mohammad Dummar, while addressing in the seminar said, provision of water to the residents of Quetta is included is my priorities.

At the occasion, the members of Balochistan Assembly including Akthar Hussain Langove, Malik Naseem Shahwani, Nasrullah Zahre and others were also present.

He said, I have remained determine to resolve the issue of water in Quetta from the very first day of taking charge of my portfolio. While the basic issue of water would be resolved soon.

He said, I have instructed the higher authorities of Wasa to strengthen the department and must bring reform in its day to day working so that the water would reach the localities of Quetta conveniently.

He asked the participants of seminar to suggest us to bring necessary reforms in the department. He said, we have to bring change in society beyond political affiliations.

While the members of Balochistan Assembly addressing in the seminar said, there is immediate need of constructing dams in outskirts of Quetta city. As the ground water table has been depleted alarmingly. If the dams would not be constructed on emergency grounds, the city may in near future face serious crisis of water scarcity.
