Opposition leader slams provincial govt over CPEC policy

QUETTA: The opposition leader of Balochistan Assembly, Malik Sikandar Advocate said that though Gwadar is central to China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), yet there is no visible developmental works in other parts of the province.

QUETTA: The opposition leader of Balochistan Assembly, Malik Sikandar Advocate said that though Gwadar is central to China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), yet there is no visible developmental works in other parts of the province.

Opposition selected the Chief Executive of the province, Jam Kamal, as the representative of Balochistan on CPEC and share developments regarding the mega project to the opp0ostion. But seemingly Chief Minister has failed to do so.

The opposition leader of Balochistan Assembly, Malik Sikandar Advocate while speaking with media person slammed the policies of incumbent government. He said, government has completely failed in running the governmental machinery of the province.  The ineptness of the government has further pushed province towards deprivation.

He said, opposition offered the Chief Minister to support on their part in CPEC related projects but Chief Minister has demonstrated utter negligence in this regard.

He said, opposition is interested in the welfare and wellbeing of Balochistan. Thereby, opposition has pinpointed the issues of Balochistan and criticized polices of government in this regard, yet government has never shown seriousness in resolving those particular issues.

He further said, government is completely confused about the running of governmental machinery. All developmental works have been paused owing to negligence of government. Unemployment has increased multifold. Owing to raising unemployment, feelings of deprivation exist in the youth of province.

He said, we are democratic people and we believe on democracy. But the prevalent situation may increase the problems for government.
