QUETTA: Armed men targeted a vehicle in Muhajir Adda area of Loralai on Saturday morning when Edhi In-Charge Baz Muhammad Adil was mobilizing citizens for protest against terrorist attacks in Loralai killing Baz Muhmmad and injuring four.

QUETTA: Armed men targeted a vehicle in Muhajir Adda area of Loralai on Saturday morning when Edhi In-Charge Baz Muhammad Adil was mobilizing citizens for protest against terrorist attacks in Loralai killing Baz Muhmmad and injuring four.

According to Police, Baz Muhammad Adil along with his four friends was announcing a protest call to mobilize the citizens for consecutive terrorist attacks in Loralai District when his vehicle was targeted by armed men,

“As they cross the crossed the Police Line and Bacha Khan Chowk, armed men opened indiscriminate firing killing Baz Muhammad on the spot while injuring four.” Police said adding the attackers managed to escape.

Frontier Corps along with Police and rescue workers rushed to the spot and shifted the body and injured to DHQ Hospital for medico legal process. Later a critical injured had been evacuated to CMH Loralai following his critical wounds.

The injured were identified as Alla ud Din, Khayal Muhammad, Ali Khan and Atta Muhammad.

It was the third attack in Loralai in first month of 2019. On January 1st four terrorists wearing suicide vests stormed Loralai Cantt but after Forces’ retaliation the attackers were killed. On January 11 armed men ambushed the Frontier Corps vehicle near BRC College Loralai injuring two FC soldiers.

District Police Officer Loralai Barkat Hussain Khosa confirmed that killing of Edhi In-Charge was a part of on-going terrorist attacks in Loralai as rounds of 9MM pistols were found from the crime scene,

“Baz Muhammad Adil was a social activist who was mobilizing the citizens for peace cause but terrorists on motorbike attacked him and his friends as they reached at Muhajir Adda.” DPO Loralai added.

So far no group has claimed responsibility of the attack but previous attacks in Loralai were claimed by banned TTP.
