QUETTA: The Provincial Minister of Irrigation, Tariq Magsi while meeting with the delegation of Unemployed Veterinary Doctors Association (UVDA) assured them to take concrete measures for the employment of recruitment of Veterinary Doctors.

QUETTA: The Provincial Minister of Irrigation, Tariq Magsi while meeting with the delegation of Unemployed Veterinary Doctors Association (UVDA) assured them to take concrete measures for the employment of recruitment of Veterinary Doctors.

He said, Agriculture and Livestock plays the role of backbone in the economy of Balochistan. People in Balochistan are highly dependent on livestock. Thereby government is determined to produce vacant posts in this department and recruit educated youth of the province.

While at the occasion, the delegation headed by Dr Hamayun informed Minister about the challenges they are facing. They said, large numbers of veterinary doctors are unemployed. Government should employ the veterinary doctors on latest advertised posts on the grounds of open merit and should eliminate Quota System.

While the minister assured the delegation that the recruitment process on all vacant posts would be purely based on merit and transparency.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Transport,Mir Umar Khan Jamali and Secretary of Irrigation, Saeed Awan also met with the minister separately.
