QUETTA: The Balochistan government has decided to establish a new force for the security of the VVIPs in the province to resolve the issue of shortage of police force in the police stations on permanent bases in the Provincial Capital.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police Quetta Range, Abdul Razzaq Cheema disclosed this while speaking at a Press Conference, here on Wednesday.  SP operations Muhammad Behram Mandokhel and SP investigation Jawad Tariq were also present on the occasion.

Mr. Cheema said that the new force would be comprise of 1000 Jawans and officer who will provide security to the VVIPs.

He said since long the police stations in the provincial capital were facing shortage of police personnel as large number of police person el were deployed for the security of VVIPs.

Replying to a question, he said that the shortage of police personnel has been resolved up to some extent with the including of 900 police jawans in police force who were passing through the training process. He said that 300 more vaccines of families of martyred police officials were vacant in the police department. ”with filling these vaccines the shortage of police personnel would be resolved,” he said.

He said that the law and order situation was improved in Quetta with taking concert steps by the police department with the help of the provincial government. “With introducing Eagle force the crime incidents, including vehicles and motorcycles snatching were reduced by many fold as the personnel of eagle forces were patrolling in all most al the areas of the provincial capital to check crime,”

Razzaq Cheema said, adding that mobile patrolling was also continue along with the personnel of eagle force who were provide highway motorcycles and latest weapons. He said that 19 mobiles were depute for the patrolling while with inducting 20 more vehicles the number of mobile with reach 39. He said that four well trained personnel of RRG were deputing in each mobile. “These mobiles will not perform protocol duty and only patrol along with eagle squad personnel,” he said.

He said that steps were being taken to protect the life and property of the people in all areas of Quetta and its surroundings. He said that four personnel of eagle squad were suspended on the complaints of their wrong behaviour. He said that there no compromise of the security duty and objectionable behaviour of the force and those found guilty will face the music.

He said many eagle squad personnel were issued showcase notices on remaining absent from the place of duty and other complements. Responding to a question about the kidnapping of a senior doctor Ibrahim Khalil, the DIG Cheema said that police with the collaboration of other law enforcement agencies making all our efforts
for safe recovery of Kidnapped doctor. He said a Joint Investigation team was also working on the case.
