QUETTA: A high-level law and order meeting chaired by Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani on Thursday vowed to counter all challenges regarding law and order decided to launch Safe City Projects in all major and bordering cities of Balochistan.

Secretary Home, Inspector General of Police and FC Officials given thorough briefing over law and order situation in Balochistan and shared the performance of Law Enforcement Agencies to maintain peace.

The session was told that implementation over Quetta Safe City Project has been embarked while planning underway to launch Safe City Projects in all major cities of Balochistan including bordering areas.

Provincial Home Minister Mir Zia Langove, Finance Minister Arif Jan Muhammad Hassani, Information Minister Mir Zahoor Buledi, Chief Secretary Balochistan Dr. Akhter Nazeer, IG Police Mohsin Butt, DIG FC, DIG Quetta, DG Levis and officials of Intelligence Agencies were present in the session held to review law and order situation.

Implementation and progress of National Action Plan, capacity of Police and Levies Force, Training Course for Police and Levies under Pak Army, Security for CPEC and Gwadar, Geo Fencing and Locators Technology, performance and capacity of CTD and security for pilgrims were discussed in details during the law and order session.

“Lack of basic facilities, falter economic activities and bad governance were the prime cause of unrest in Balochistan which given chance to our enemies of luring youth of this province to pick up arms against the state.” CM Jam Kamal said while addressing the meeting added our government taking solid measure for imparting all facilities to masses.

Expressing satisfaction over burgeoning International Investment in Balochistan Jam Kamal said, fortunately today various International Companies and foreign investors visiting Balochistan that would provide jobs and trade activities in our province.

Stressing upon coordination between all Law Enforcement Agencies CM Jam Kamal said, the presence of LEAs should be visible in Balochistan directed security forces to work on good strategy to counter terrorism.

The provincial government directed Deputy Commissioners to prepare report regarding residential and other facilities for Security Forces performing duties in remote areas.
