QUETTA: The 7th Provincial Cabinet Session presided by Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani on Thursday approved various agendas of different provincial departments allowing amendments in policies for Journalists and Hawkers welfare funds.

QUETTA: The 7th Provincial Cabinet Session presided by Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani on Thursday approved various agendas of different provincial departments allowing amendments in policies for Journalists and Hawkers welfare funds.

After reviewing the progress of Provincial Education, Local Body, Information, Sports and Telecommunication Departments the Balochistan Cabinet unanimously approved important affairs of those departments included on cabinet agenda.

The Cabinet also approved amendments in new hiring in educational department allowing new appointments of teachers from grade 9 to 15 on contract basis.

The cabinet members were informed that the test and interviews for new recruitments would be done through testing services while District Recruitment Committees would be established to hire new teachers on Districts level.

The cabinet directed Educational Department to implement the suggestions given by cabinet members for new hiring in Education Department while provincial cabinet members were agreed upon to follow testing criteria for other recruitments as well.

To strengthen health service on National Highways the cabinet approved providing necessary facilities in Health Centres at National Highways announcing to declare the health care centres as Emergency Service with functional Rescue 1122 and Trauma Centres. Provincial Government Directed the Peoples Primary Health Institutes (PPHI) to embark initial measures over government decision pledging immediate release of funds for healthcare centres on National Highways.

Members of the Sub-Committee of Provincial Cabinet Mir Zahoor Buledi, Asad Baloch and Zia Ullah Langove submitted the report of their Khuzdar Visit expressing satisfaction over construction work of Shaheed Sikandar Zehri University Khuzdar.

They recommended immediate release of funds for the University adding with timely construction we could start educational activities. The Sub-Committee also recommended the sub-campus of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University in Panjgur.

Calling the Sub-Committee’s visit important progress CM Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan has announced further sub-committees of provincial cabinet,

“The Sub-Committees would be responsible to visit various Districts of Balochistan and submit their reports in cabinet regarding development projects and public issues.” Jam Kamal said while addressing the Cabinet Meeting.

Jam Kamal termed the Sub-Committee’s initiative helpful in resolving public issues on their door steps.

The Cabinet members were unanimously agreed upon establishing sub-campus of SBK in Panjgur and directed the Educational Department to proceed the proposal.

The Provincial Cabinet has approved establishing more campus of Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in remote areas of Balochistan to the students could be facilities in their native Districts.

The Cabinet approved rupees 8.18 million funds for Sports Department and decided to additional funds for on-going PSDP schemes for 2018-19 but the cabinet members also recorded their reservations over those projects.

The Cabinet deferred a proposal for amendments in provincial Fisheries Ordinance 1971 handing over the issue to provincial sub-committee to make the ordinance more concise with induction of fishermen welfare fund and Trust for local fishermen community.

The Cabinet Session unanimously approved Balochistan Education Foundation Act 1994 and Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Bill 2018.
