QUETTA: Balochistan Assembly on Saturday through adopting a resolution demanded of the federal government to re-started closed Harnai woolen mill in Harnai for making the provincial economy stable and providing employment to the local people.

QUETTA: Balochistan Assembly on Saturday through adopting a resolution demanded of the federal government to re-started closed Harnai woolen mill in Harnai for making the provincial economy stable and providing employment to the local people.

The resolution was moved by Provincial Minister for Public Health Engineering, Noor Muhammad Dummar in the house which was presided over by Speaker Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo.

The resolution further said that with the colure of Woolen miles in Harnai large number of people rendered jobless and the local economy was badly affected.  Speaking on the resolution, the mover Noor Muhammad Dummar said that the federal government had closed the woolen mill without any justification. He said that the mill was producing best quality of woolen cloth as the row metrical was available in the area.

He said that the Balochistan Assembly had passed resolutions regarding Harnai Woolen mill and demanded it re-function but Islamabad had not given any response towards the demand of the people Harnai and Balochistan Assembly.

Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind, parliamentary leader of PTI in the Balochistan Assembly while taking the floor said that a committee of the assembly should be formed to probe who is responsible for not implementing on the resolution adopted in the past. He supported the resolution and demanded re-functioning of the close mill.

Sanaullah Baloch of BNP-Mengal, Nasarullah Zerey, Maulana Abdul Wahid Siddique, and Sardar Abdul Rehman Khatiran also supported the resolution. Later the resolution was adopted without any opposition.

The house also adopted another resolution which was also moved by Provincial Minister Noor Muhammad Dummar. In the resolution the house demanded that the federal government should issue tender for the construction of road from Ziarat Moor to Kach, Harnai to Sanjavi as soon as possible.

It also demanded that federal government should also give approval of the construction of road from Kach cross to Ziarat and from Ziarat to Sanjavi and Sanjavi to Loralai.The house after discussion adopted the resolution without any opposition.
