QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has said that without quality education we will not be able to compete with the fast developing world. “Teaching is not mere a job rather it is a huge responsibility which need to be performed with utmost commitment and sincerity,” he added

Speaking to the students and faculty members of different colleges of Balochistan during laptop distribution ceremony at Chief Minister Secretariat, Jam Kamal Khan said that through getting proper education we could bring development and prosperity in our country and the province.

Addressing youth, Mr. Kamal said: “It is very crucial time for you to work hard and consume your energy in getting education because after few years you people will be leading different departments and sectors of the province and country.

Chief Minister said that though resources and opportunities were meager in Balochistan for students as compared to other provinces but never get dispirited of it rather work hard to achieve what you wanted. “Incumbent government within limited resources in hand making its best to provide every opportunity to its youth,” Jam Kamal assured.

He said that there were backward areas even close to capital Islamabad but it should not be our weakness because future of Balochistan was bright and we would be able to achieve what we wanted if our educational institutions play their due role. “We should never comprise over two sectors education and health as both sectors are critical for development of any nation,” he said, and regretted that our primary and secondary level education was unsatisfactory due to which our students face difficulties. “We are struggling hard to curb this deficiency through introducing more funds and reforms in educational institution, and in this regard the role of teachers is pretty vital,” he maintained.

Chief Minister said that in past we comprised with education and health sectors that inflicted serious loss to our country as well as Balochistan. He said that we need to discourage favoritism in education and health sectors and let come professionals who really love and serve as responsible. “If we compromise in education and health sectors it would cause huge loss to our nation,” he said.

Earlier, Chief Minister Balochistan distributed laptops amongst students and certificate in faculty members.

Provincial Ministers, Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa, Sardar Abdul Rehman Kethran and Zia Langov were also present in the meeting.
