QUETTA: Drastic measures are being taken to improve the traffic of Quetta city. Heavy traffic is the major issue of Quetta city. Thereby, establishment of Traffic Engineering Bureau is inevitable to overcome the challenges of traffic in the city.

The Senior Superintendent of Traffic Police (SSP) Nazeer kurd while addressing in a seminar as a chief guest conducted by institute of Environmental protection in Quetta Press Club here on Wednesday said, the traffic signals of Quetta city require urgent repair. Owing to the absence of Traffic signals inside the city, people are facing trouble.

He said, the heavy or loaded vehicles are allowed to enter inside the city after 10 o’clock. But heavy vehicles manage to enter in city before the prescribed time from the places where the sergeants are not deployed. Once the sergeants find them, they capture them and levy heavy fines on them.

While at the occasion the general sectary of Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ), Ayub Tareen, including the transporters, traders and people from other sectors were also participated in the program.

The Azeem Kakar one of the participants while addressing in a seminar said, the government of Balochistan under the leadership of Jam kamal is determined to resolve the issues of people and give relief to the inhabitants of the province.

He said, unlike prior government that made hollow claims and did nothing, the government of Jam Kamal would bring visible change inside the province.

He criticized previous governments while saying that the prior governments have focused on construction of roads, because construction of road is a great source of corruption.
