UN’s Envoy for Social Sector has informed the Chief Minister regarding her visit of Nushki, Chaghi and drought hit areas pledging her organizations’ full assistance for provincial government in relief work,

“The Social Sector of United Nations is ready to impart its full support to the Government of Balochistan in Health, Education and Nutrition Departments.” She added.

Lauding her assurance Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan has said, provincial government has been utilizing all available resources to provide food and necessary goods to the people affected by drought adding severed drought has gripped several areas of Balochistan due to lack of rain,

“Following drought, the Government of Balochistan has announced to establish Balochista Endowment Fund that would help poor people in receiving better health facilities.” Jam Kamal said added we have commenced relief operation in all drought hit Districts.

In the meeting CM Balochistan and US envoy were agreed upon to establish a joint task force to tackle down malnutrition and social issues of Balochistan. They have decided to induct representatives of Federa and Provincial Governments, United Nations and Donor Agencies that would prepare the emergency plan and initial planning for joint venture.
