QUETTA: The Spokesman for the United Nation High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) Qaisr Khan Afridi has said on Thursday that despite the major host of Refugees in the world Pakistan has not introduced legislation for refugees adding the country has yet to sign Refugees Convention.

QUETTA: The Spokesman for the United Nation High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) Qaisr Khan Afridi has said on Thursday that despite the major host of Refugees in the world Pakistan has not introduced legislation for refugees adding the country has yet to sign Refugees Convention.

Sharing these in a media briefing the Spokesman of UNHR Qiasar Khan Afridi has said, still there were 54 villages of Afghan Refugees in Pakistan among 10 established in Balochistan since last two decades,

“Up to 9lac Afghan Refugees in KPK Province while Balochistan is the home of more than 3lac Afghan Refugees and the number of unregistered Refugees was far high in both provinces.” Qaisar Khan said.

He added, in spite the home a large number of Refugees, Pakistan has yet to adopt any legislation regarding Refugees while the government is yet to sign United Nations’ Refugees Convention.
