QUETTA: Tough Pakistan Railways has been playing as back bone of country’s economy but previous regime of PML N has destroyed the Railway Department and adopted projects for personal interests. Federal Secretary for Railway Farrukh Habib said.

“Accountability has been started against people looted public money and they can’t hide from questions regarding misuse of public office for their personal interest.” Federal Secretary for Pakistan Railway Farrukh Habib said while addressing media talks in Divisional Superintendent Office Quetta on Monday.

“The least developed province Balochistan didn’t get appropriate attention by previous rulers which has increased issues of people of Balochistan.” Farrukh Habib said adding we have decided to introduce digital Railway system across the country.

Taking the jab against former Minister for Railways he said, ironically previous minister has wasted millions for construction of Narowal and Riwind Railway Stations because he wanted to make happy his leader who was living like a king in poverty stricken country,

“Today they have been yelling against accountability but no one who looted public money or destroyed public departments for personal interest won’t be spared at any cost.” Farrukh Habib said.

The Divisional Superintendent Pakistan Railway Quetta Division Wasif Ali Mughal and Provincial Minister for Forest Mir Zia Langove were accompanied with Federal Secretary during the news conference.

Citing Prime Minister Imran Khan’s five days visit of China Farrukh Habib said, during the visit Agriculture and Pakistan Railways were prime subjects of Prime Minister while he received positive response from Chinese Companies who were ready to invest on Pakistan Railways,

“Fortunately Pakistan Railways owns major share of land in the country and we have decided to allot PR land for Prime Minister Housing Scheme.”

“The incumbent Federal Government has a bold vision for people of Balochistan and the journey of Naya Pakistan would start from Balochistan.” Farrukh Habib said.

Sharing the details of Sibi-Harnai Railway track he said, 90% construction of Sibi-Harnai Railway track has been completed and the train service would be restored in coming days.

“The administrative affairs of Pakistan Railways were being addressed through digitalization of Railway department therefore we have been taking assistance from Chinese counterparts as well.” Federal Secretary added.
