QUETTA: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Thursday issued notice to 95 political parties calling them to submit the details of expenditures and donations during general elections.

QUETTA: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Thursday issued notice to 95 political parties calling them to submit the details of expenditures and donations during general elections.

According to the notification released by ECP, total 120 political parties were registered among 95 had contested last general elections. Under Election Act 2017 Section 211 rule 161 the parties were precluded to submit the details of their expenditures and donations during elections after two months of general elections.

“According to the rules and regulations of ECP, the political parties were directed to par up their election expenditure and donation up to 100095 rupees, but still 66 political parties didn’t submit the details in the office of Election Commission of Pakistan.” The notification reads.

The ECP called dormant political parties to submit the details till November 18 after the Election Commission of Pakistan has right to reverse the allotted election symbols from them.
