CHAGAI: More than two dozen mortar shells fired from Iranian territory into Pakistani border town Taalap area of Chagai district.

According to official sources the mortar shells landed and exploded in different plain areas of Taalap therefore no human loss was reported, however several camels hit by shells and died in the vicinity of Killi Khuda Nazar. Fear spreaded due to huge explosion and the residents remain confined into their houses, a local resident Haji KhudaNazar explained while talking to local media.

Local residents further said that they weren’t being allowed to sow in their fields closed to border by Iranian forces and traveling at night time became a risky job for them. Political and Tribal elder Mir Umair Muhammad Hassani, while visiting the Taalap area, denounced cross border shelling from Iranian territory and termed it a sensitive matter.

Talking to local residents of Taalap he said that people across the border had been suffering from Iranian aggression for long and several families had migrated due to constant cross border shellings. I favor the strengthening of brotherhood relations of Pakistan with Iran but federal government should address the cross border shellings from Iranian territory and get stopped the border violations, MrHassani added.
