Germany seek to enhance relations with Pakistan

QUETTA: The German Counsel General Mr. Eugen Wollfarth has said, the German Government has been working in Pakistan but we want to enhance our relations with Pakistan in terms of business activities.

QUETTA: The German Counsel General Mr. Eugen Wollfarth has said, the German Government has been working in Pakistan but we want to enhance our relations with Pakistan in terms of business activities.

Speaking to Journalist on Wednesday German Counsel General Mr. Wollfwarth has said, Germany is a good friend of Pakistan and we want to foster our ties with Pakistan in terms of business activities adding therefore we have been sending business delegations in Pakistan,

“We had a very good conversation with Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan and Governor Balochistan based on interest for doing more on Hospitals and Schools in Balochistan.” Mr Eugen Wollfarth said adding but certainly very important to highlight what we have done particularly the Children Hospital for the people of Quetta.

Replying to question regarding expanding German supported Technical Training Center he said, if Gwadar develop very well and more people would live there, If additional help and assistance needed our German government would be ready for it,

“While being here it is important to see what happening in Quetta and in the region therefore I have looked into some of the projects, we chosen in the past and similar one in the future.” German Counsel General said adding particularly we would like to share our role in university level specially introducing learning German language to the youth of Balochistan.

Talking on view of German Government on CPEC Mr. Eugen Wollfarth said, the project is certainly important for Pakistan as a whole and especially Balochistan, the region is rich in minerals and its better to have more roads so the government can could be connected with International markets,

“The CPEC is roads, port and other investments and it has apparently the charm to attract other countries and investors to invest like refinery in Gwadar, having more partners would be beneficial for Pakistan.”

“Before elections there were some terrorist incidents reported but it didn’t change the image of the region, what is helpful for investment is to win the trust of foreign investors.”
