QUETTA: The Coal mine labors on Thursday protested against Punjab Government over banning brick kilns expressing concern over major blow of unemployment in the country.

QUETTA: The Coal mine labors on Thursday protested against Punjab Government over banning brick kilns expressing concern over major blow of unemployment in the country.

The protesting coal mine labors carried out placards chanted fully throat slogans against the Punjab Government in front of Quetta Press Club saying brick kilns providing job to thousands of people from 100 years were being closed by new government’s first 100 days.

“Closing brick kilns directly affect the coal industry of Balochistan as our coal being delivers for majority brick kilns in Punjab.” President National Labor Federation and former Senator Abdul Raheem Mir Dadkhail said terming the bid as conspiracy against Balochistan’s coal industry.

“Coal mine labors have been risking their live by working dangerous coal fields but running country’s economy, Punjab’s Anti-Labor move will push poor labors towards terrorism due to lack of jobs.”

Slamming new central government the labors said, we had supported new government as they pledged colossal plans for labors class of the country, but unfortunately they first attacked on labors by shutting down their source of employment.

“Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief Justice of Pakistan and Chief Minister Balochistan must take immediate notice of the anti-labor move of Punjab Government.” The labors demanded.
