QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani has said, the provincial departments of Anti-Corruption and Inquiry Establishment should be more autonomous towards their responsibilities stressing upon reforms in both government bodies.

Chairing a session to reviews the departmental affairs of Anti-Corruption Department and Inquiry Establishment on Thursday Chief Minister Balochistan received detailed briefing over departmental performance.

Director General of Anti-Corruption Department Zeeshan Lehri has informed the Chief Minister regarding prosecution, legal affairs and his department’s monitoring over corruption in the province.

“We must have to purge out the scar of corruption labelled on our province, the departments behaving appropriately but there was need to bring changes in our behaviours.” Jam Kamal said while addressing the session adding the investigation process should be neutral without having any personal dispute or interest.

“People in our society needs justice from government departments, therefore there should be a sense of impartiality in all investigation departments.”

He said, fortunately we have loyal government officers and they must continue loyalty with their profession without tolerating pressure from anyone.

He directed DG Anti-Corruption to conclude under investigation cases and present the Anti-Corruption act for amendments in the cabinet. The session was agreed upon to introduce reforms in lodging FIR deciding to constitute a committee for registering FIR against any individual.
