QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani has chaired the Balochistan Development Committee Session on Wednesday discussing various development projects and security challenges in the province.

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani has chaired the Balochistan Development Committee Session on Wednesday discussing various development projects and security challenges in the province.

Police Reforms, Quetta Safe City Project, Construction of National Highways, Balochistan Institute of Cardiology, Cancer Hospital, Illegal Trawling and Levis empowerment were reviewed during the session.

Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa, Provincial Home Minister Saleem Khosa, Provincial Health Minister Naseebullah Marri, Chief Secretary Balochistan Dr. Akhter Nazeer, Additional Secretary for P&D Sajjad Ahmed Bhutta, IG Police Mohsin Butt and Government officials have participated in the session.

Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa has assured the session of full cooperation of Pak Army in maintaining law and order, building Balochistan’s Cardiology Center and Cancer Hospital.

Giving briefing over the Cardiology Center the session was informed that, Balochistan Institute of Cardiology is being built with joint cooperation of Balochistan Government and Pak Army. The foundation stone of the institute would be laid down in near future.

However on discussion to build Balochistan’s first Cancer Hospital, the session was told that, land for Cancer Hospital was purchased in Spini road while provincial government has allocated 2 billion rupees for the project in annual PSDP, “Prime Minister Imran Khan has assured his assistance in building Balochistan’s first cancer Hospital.”

Reviewing the Police Reforms following the judgment Supreme Court the Balochistan Development Committee Session was told that, Police Reforms Act being prepared to strengthen our police force in sustaining law and order across the province. The session has decided to provide modern training to Levis Force to maintain peace in remote parts of Balochistan.

CM Balochistan Jam Kamal has directed concern departments to functionalize Quetta Safe City Project till November 10, 2018 and fill the initial work on Safe City Project.

General Manage National Highway Authority has given intensive briefing over under construction highways across Balochistan. The Session was agreed upon over immediate completion of M8’s Hoshab-Khuzdar-Awaran Section, Baseema Khuzdar highway and Bela Awaran road.

“The Provincial Government is questionable before the masses over use of public resources, the government is responsible to utilize available resources properly.” Chief Minister Jam Kamal said while addressing the session.

“Unless boosting our natural resources, we can’t control the financial crisis therefore we must have to rely upon our capacity instead of looking for someone.” Jam Kamal added.

CM Balochistan strictly directed the Fisheries Department to utilize all efforts in halting illegal fish trawling into Balochistan’s coastal strip announcing of installation of digital registration system in issuing license for fishing posts.
