LAHORE: Justice Muhammad Anwar ul Haq on Tuesday has taken oath as 47th Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court.

LAHORE: Justice Muhammad Anwar ul Haq on Tuesday has taken oath as 47th Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court.

The oath was administrated by Punjab Governor Mohammad Sarwar in a ceremony held at Governor House.

Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, high court judges, provincial ministers, office bearers of the Pakistan Bar Council, Lahore High Court Bar Association and Lahore Bar Association, provincial and federal law officers attended the ceremony.

Anwaarul Haq has a two-month term to serve as LHC CJ. He will retire on achieving superannuation on 31st December this very year.

Shamim Khan has become senior most judge of LHC after Justice Yawar Ali’s retirement.
