LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani on Thursday dispelled all allegations of nepotism leveled against chief selector Inzamamul Haq.

As per details garnered, Mani met Inzamam and Basit Ali at PCB’s headquarters here in Lahore today. Mani expressed trust in the professional capabilities of selection committee’s members.

Sources privy to PCB told Dunya News that Mani arrived at conclusion without hearing stance of Abdul Qadir, the cricketer who hurled the accusations of nepotism.

Rumors were rife that Inzamamul Haq—the head of the selection committee—was exerting influence to get his son selected in the national junior team.

The chief selector had urged PCB chairman to initiate a thorough probe into the allegations and take action against him if he was found guilty.
