QUETTA: Pashtunkhwa Mili Awami Party, MMA, PML N, National Party and other political parties on Thursday demanded immediate resignation of Chief Election Commission vowing to continue their drive against what they termed Engineered Elections.

QUETTA: Pashtunkhwa Mili Awami Party, MMA, PML N, National Party and other political parties on Thursday demanded immediate resignation of Chief Election Commission vowing to continue their drive against what they termed Engineered Elections.

The joint opposition parties staged a rally in the provincial capital Quetta in which hundreds of political workers participated and chanted fully throat slogans against Election Commission for its paucity over holding free and fair elections.

The Protesters after marching on various roads of the provincial Quetta staged a protest demonstration before Election Commission office.

PK MAP’s Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, JUI F’s Molvi Muhibullah, PML N’s Younus Baloch PPP’s Provincial President Haji Ali Mada Jattak, National Parties, Khair Jan Baloch and other leaders addressed the protesters.

“The Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan and four ECs should tender their resignation over their failure in conducting impartial elections, 25 July polls were an ambush on public mandate therefore the ECP must hold re-elections in the country.” The joint opposition leaders said.

PK MAP’s Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal said, we strongly condemned the establishment role in weakening the democracy in the country, there was a plot of rigging in all constituencies of the country and they imposed fake leadership on the people of Balochistan.

Reiterating to continue their drive against manipulated and engineered elections Ziaratwal said, the joint opposition parties will continue rising their voice against rigged elections in all platforms and hidden powers won’t be allowed for further conspiracies against democratic powers.

JUI F’s Molvi Habibullah said, 25 July’s polls were the worst example of rigging in the history of Pakistan, we were in house arrest during elections, “JUI F will continue protest against blatant rigging and on the call of our central leaders all highways in Balochistan will be blocked if ECP don’t act on our demands.”

Addressing the protesters PPP’s Provincial President Haji Ali Madad Jattak said, unfortunately today the representatives of public have been protesting on roads while those won’t eligible of winning Councilor’s seat have been elected as MPA and MNA through engineered elections.

He added, “Political parties and leader those have been striving for democracy from 50 years are deliberately kept oust from the Parliament, the people of Balochistan won’t let them to steal provincial resource through corrupt practices.”

PML N leader and deputy mayor Quetta Younus Baloch said, we have been punished for being vehement vocal for the supremacy of Parliament.
