QUETTA: As the deadline of filing nomination papers reached on its end, dozens of candidate on Monday were seen in RO offices and ECP Office to file their documents for general elections 2018.

QUETTA: As the deadline of filing nomination papers reached on its end, dozens of candidate on Monday were seen in RO offices and ECP Office to file their documents for general elections 2018.

11 June 2018 was announced as last day by Election Commission of Pakistan for candidate to submit their nomination papers as from June 12 the 2nd phase of scrutiny will be commenced.

The Election Commissioner Balochistan Niyaz Muhammad Baloch on Monday said, following the last of filing nomination papers, hundreds of candidates with their supporters visited ECP and RO offices across the province,

“Till Monday’s non we have received total 651 nomination papers for provincial Assembly’s 51 seats and total 161 forms had been issues for 16 NA seats.” Commissioner ECP said.

On the last day dozens of candidate including prominent names of Sardar Atif Sanjrani, Muhammad Umar Khilji, Maulana Asmatullah, and others have submitted their papers for NA 264 Quetta.

Meanwhile on NA 265 Quetta at least 32 candidates have filed their nomination papers on Monday among the candidate some big names are emerged of PK MAP Chairman Mehmood Khan Achakzai, founder of BAP Saeed Ahmed Hahsmi, PTI’s Qasim Khan Suri, JUI F’s Naseebullah Achakzai and PML N’s Younus Baloch.

ECP confirmed that for NA 266 total 17 candidates have submitted their documents among the candidates  BAP’s Prince Ahmed Ali Ahmedzai, PK MAP’s Jamal Taraki, JUI F’s Hafiz Hussain Ahmed and BNP’s Agha Hassan Advocated are among the top names.

Following simmering political temperature the next general elections in Balochistan will be more enthusiastic as compare with 2013.

The Election Commission will commenced scrutiny of all candidates’ documents from June 12.
