QUETTA: Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) killed five suicide bomber stormed Frontier Corps (FC) Madadgar Centre on Thursday night foiling major attacks on security forces.

Five attackers attacked on FC Madadagar Centre in Quetta’s most secured neighborhood near Quetta Cant when one of the attackers struck his explosive laden vehicle outside the gate.

Four attacker wearing suicide vest attempted to barge inside FC’s Help Centre but timely action by LEAs and Police foiled major attack on Security forces after they killed a fervent commander of LeJ on Wednesday night.

At least eight security forces’ personnel sustained injuries in the attack one of them said to be in critical condition and being treated in Combine Military Hospital.

Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility of the attack.

“After initially engaging terrorist, our forces successfully killed four terrorists entered inside the FC compound,” Provincial Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti said while talking to media outside FC Help center.

He added, the attackers wanted to cause major damage as they stormed forces’ compound during Traveeh timing but timely action foiled enemy’s vicious ambitions.

However, the security personnel deployed at the gate fired at the terrorists and stopped them to enter inside the premises of the Centre. “All the five terrorists killed by the security forces,” Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) statement said that issued late night.
It said, “All the five suicide members apparently Afghanis.” The failed terrorist attempt was response to killing of their key terrorists’ last night operation in Killi Almas.
The ISPR statement further said that four soldiers have been injured in the exchange of fire who were shifted to CMH, Quetta for treatment.
According to sources, five suicide bombers reached at the gate of the Madadgar Centre and one of them entered in the gate and when security personnel opened fire at him he blew himself up and after that four suicide bombers also tried to enter in the premises and started firing. They also used hand grenade, as three blasts were hard in the people living close to the FC facility.
According to sources that FC personnel took positions and retaliated and killed four other suicide bombers near the gate of the Madadgar Centre. “They could not move inside the centre and killed by security forces,” he said. “He said that four personnel of FC injured during exchange of fire.
Soon after the blast Anti Terrorists  force and personnel of Army reached at the site, and cordoned off the entire area and launched a combing starch operation. “The situation is now under control and forces cleared the area,” officials’ sources said.
A heavy contingent of Law Enforcement Agencies including Pakistan Army reached the spot and cordoned off the area. The powerful blast has been heard across the city as windows glasses of near houses were shattered.

The attack occurred day after security forces have arrested and killed high value targets in Killi Almas. According to Inter Service Intelligence Public Relations Salman Badini head of LeJ Balochistan among two others killed in the raid.

Colonel Sohail Javed leading the operation and an ATF commando embraced martyrdom during exchange of firing with terrorists.

“It is too early to say that was a reaction of Yesterday’s operation but our forces have bravely countered the attack and killed all four suicidal as they entered inside the FC’s compound.”

Slamming Manzoor Pashteen leader of PTM Bugti said, I want to inform him (Manzoor Pashteen) that he was falsely accusing Army behind terrorism in the country, “After Colonel Sohail and Sanaullah martyrdom he should shut his mouth against our armed forces.”

Security forces claimed the attackers wearing forces uniform are believed to be Afghan citizens but investigations are underway.
