QUETTA: The Director Electoral ECP Babar Malik said on Sunday that, Election Commission has established 1400 display centers across Balochistan where people can review their name in voter lists following election 2018.

QUETTA: The Director Electoral ECP Babar Malik said on Sunday that, Election Commission has established 1400 display centers across Balochistan where people can review their name in voter lists following election 2018.

“People who want to change, add or delete name from voter lists can visit display centres and can submit forms in the DC and the office elections commission of Pakistan.” Bilal Malik Director Electoral Babar Malik said while address a news conference here in Quetta.

He added, the final voters’ lists will be frozen till 24th April and will be send for printing after the date no changes will be allowed in the final electoral names.

According to Election Commission of Pakistan from approximately 489397 new names have been added in the voting lists of Balochistan since December 2017 while total 4194311 voters are registered.

Sharing the details Babar Malik said, during 2018 elections in Balochistan women voters would cast their votes as a large number of new women voters have been registered.

“The Election Commission has deleted at least 8000 registered vote from national voting list as they have been demised while we have been expecting up to 1.5 million new voters’ addition.” Director Electoral added.

After the new voter’s addition in various cities of Balochistan the ECP has shared the complete details of voters in the province. Number of voters in Awaran has reached on 75565, Barkhan, 66934, Pishin, 247280, Panjgur, 97885, Jaffarabad 212685, Jhal magsi, 58249, Chaghi, 88149, Khuzdar, 222987, Qilla Abdullah, 227213, Kalat, 130387, Gawadar 117073, Kohlu, 57436 and Loralai, 135247.

Babar Malik has urged Electronic and Print Media to share awareness among people to check their votes in ECP’s Display Centres.
