KARACHI: Federal Minister for Shipping and Ports Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo has said that writer and poets are real leaders of any nation and despite facing difficult time, they sacrifice their lives for the prosperity of their nation. “Poet Baig Muhammad Begal had always brought smiles on the faces of people through with his poetry and fiction that makes him different from other poets,” said Bizenjo.
He was addressing the first death anniversary of renowned Balochi language poet and fiction writer Baig Muhammad Begal at Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi on Sunday evening. On the occasion, a book on Begal’s life published by Zind Academy Noshki Balochistan was also launched.
Bizenjo further said that Begal was not an emotional poet but with his own style he made people smile, which is very difficult task.
“Due to the lack of education, we are unaware about our writers and poets, who are actually our national heroes, we don’t know them, we are lack of academies and intuitions which can highlight poets and writers, who are our national heroes,” he said.
He further said that Begal had played same role to serve Baloch people as Bizenjo or Mir Gul Khan have played and it is a historical fact and no one can deny.
Addressing the ceremony, CEO Vsh TV, Ahmed Iqbal paid rich tribute to Begal and said that he was poor and was suffering with economical crisis but despite that he struggled for the betterment of Balochi literature.
Professor Dr Ramzan Bamri said that Begal was the true lover of his language, indetity and culture and by his poetry and fiction, he had proved that he was the true lover of his motherland.
Head of the Zind Academy, Noshki Balchistan, Yaar Muhammad Badni said that the work of Begal is a treasure for Balochi language and this book that is launched on Sunday on Begal’s life to pay tribute to Begal and also to keep his memories alive.
Professor Kamila, Profesor Hafeez Jamali, Asghar Ali Azag, Zahida Raisi and Hassan Ali Hassan also spoke on the occasion.
