QUETTA: The Vice Chancellor of Turbat University Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir said that his institution had attained several milestones in four years since its foundation.

QUETTA: The Vice Chancellor of Turbat University Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir said that his institution had attained several milestones in four years since its foundation.

Disseminating quality education and observing merit and discipline strictly in academic, administrative and financial matters is the first priority of the university.

Presiding over a meeting in university main campus on the occasion of start of new academic year he said, “Preparations for organizing second convocation of the university are underway in which the participation of President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain is expected.” He said besides faculty of Law ten BS programs has been started in the University and people belonging to Mekran division and other parts of the province are pursuing their higher studies with all required facilities.

He said that his institution was planning to award scholarships and laptop to every student of the university and they would be sent on exposure and study tour to different parts of the country. The Vice Chancellor expressed his pleasure that a number of faculty members are rejoining university after completing their Ph.D and MS degree from abroad and country’s top universities.

The matters related to university budget, academic calendar, admission progress, classrooms and academic environment, needs of teaching department and other missing facilities were discussed thoroughly during the meeting.

The meeting was attended by registrar Dr Hanif Ur Rahman, dean faculty of Law Dr Gul Hassan, dean faculty of Management Sciences Dr Munir Ahmed, director finance Gulam Farooq, director planning Muhammad Hayat, controller examinations Tanvir Ahmed, director Gwadar Campus Ijaz Ahmed, chairperson education department, Mehnaz Aslam, chairman Economics department Dr Abdul Qayyum, PSO to VC Chakar Hyder and other heads of the teaching department.
