QUETTA: Cold winds has grappled the provincial capital and other cities of Balochistan for 2nd day as temperature dropped to -10 on Tuesday while two people have been died of cold weather in Gawadar and Dukki.

The new series of freezing winds have grappled the provincial capital for 2nd day that forced people to remain in their house as temperature in Quetta dropped up to its peak freezing point -10. On Wednesday.

Quetta, Ziarat and Kalat are the most winter affected cities as in Kalat and Ziarat temperature dropped to -12.

“The recent freezing wave will last for more next few days and the weather will be more dry and cold.” Met Department predicted.

The Metrology Department also confirmed that a new series of snow is heading in Balochistan in coming weeks and snowfall is affirmed in many parts of Balochistan including Quetta.

Low gas pressure more annoying people in the freezing weather and many people in the provincial capital were using gas cylinder and woods to warm themselves.

“Our children being stuck for two days as there isn’t gas pressure, we can’t cook to feed our children.” Muhammad Yasir a shop owner in Quetta said.

Water pipe lines in many towns of Quetta were busted due to cold while vehicles and motorbikes have refused to start in morning time.

Students in various exam centers in Quetta were compelled to done their papers in freezing examination hall due to lack of gas pressure.

However a mantel ill man was died of cold in Port city Gwadar as he was sleeping in an open fray while a bagger died outside a mosque in Duki due to cold waves.
