QUETTA: Strict security arrangements were made during the session of the Balochistan Assembly on Wednesday, and all roads leading to the assembly were closed for all kinds of traffic, severely affecting the city’s traffic system. According to details, various political parties had called for protest demonstrations in front of the assembly during the first session of the Balochistan Assembly.

 

The police had blocked the roads leading to the Balochistan Assembly from early Wednesday morning, and no unrelated person was allowed to go in that direction. On the occasion of the assembly session, heavy contingents of police, anti-terrorism forces, and the FC were deployed around all sides of the Balochistan Assembly. Meanwhile, the police and FC carried out armed patrolling in the city. Due to the closure of Zarghoon Road for all kinds of traffic, the city’s traffic system was severely affected, leading to intense mental stress for the citizens, and the entire day, the city remained in a traffic jam.

During the session of the Balochistan Assembly, more than 300 security personnel were deployed inside and outside the assembly. On Wednesday, during the oath-taking ceremony of the 9 newly elected members of the Balochistan Assembly, more than 300 security personnel were deployed inside and outside the assembly premises due to security concerns.”
