QUETTA: The Commissioner Quetta Division Muhammad Hashim Ghilzai has vowed on Monday that the District Administration has been taking steps to end traffic issues from Quetta on emergency level reiterating strict action against violation of building code.

Presiding the session to review the burgeoning traffic issues of the provincial capital Commissioner Quetta Muhammad Hashim Ghilzai said, summery to establish Traffic Engineering Bureau and Building Code Act have been on last phase,

“Complete elimination of encroachment from the city has become imperative to resolve the traffic issues, the district administration will allocate separate place for barrow vendors.” Muhammad Hashim Ghilzai added.

Deputy Commissioner Quetta Captain retired Tahir Zafar Abbasi, Mayor Quetta Kaleemullah Kakar, CCPO Quetta Abdul Razzaq Cheema, DG QDA Muhammad Farooq Langove and district officials were presented in the meeting conducted to resolve city’s traffic woes.

The session has decided to launch strict action against violation of building code because many tall building in downtown of the city constructed with the blatant violation of building code.

“After amendment in the building code act, the law would be fully implemented in the city.” Commissioner Quetta reiterated.

Lamenting over lack of awareness among citizens over using garbage canons Muhammad Hashim Ghilzai said, the district administration has purchased modern machinery to lift city’s garbage but the citizens were found throwing garbage on streets instead of garbage canons.

Over burgeoning traffic flow in the city Commissioner Quetta has directed authorities to launch strict action against illicit vehicle and auto rickshaws.
