QUETTA: The Lawyers Community in Balochistan has announced Ali Ahmed Kurd as Provincial candidate for the slot of President of Supreme Court Bar Association.

Addressing a joint news conference on Wednesday in Quetta Press Club the Balochistan Bar Association and Hadi Shakeel Panel have announced to filed Ali Ahmed Kurd as their candidate for next Supreme Court Bar elections.

Senior Lawyers Kamaran Murtaza Advocate, Ali Ahmed Kurd, Hadi Shakeel Advocate, President High Court Bar Association Shah Muhammad Jatoi, Attaullah Langove, Najam Mengal Advocate and ther lawyers said, the Independent Lawyers Forum has decided to filed Ali Ahmed Kurd as provincial candidate for the Supreme Court Bar Elections,

“Prior the Asma Jahangir Panel has nominated Amanullah Yaseenzai as Presidential candidate but due to his poor health he apologized the slot therefore we have decided to name Ali Ahmed Kurd as Balochistan’s candidate.” The Lawyers said adding Syed Saleem Akhter has been announced as vise Presdeitn and Anwar ul Haq, Azam Qumbrani Liaquat Tareen were shortlisted for Executive Body members.

The Elections of Supreme Court Bar Association are going to be held on October 27 where more three thousands lawyers from across the country would cast their votes for the Presidential candidates.

Replying to a query regarding action under Article 6 against those opposing building Dam Senior Lawyer Kamran Murtaza said, we don’t endorse the statement of Chief Justice of Pakistan.

Sharing his views on the release of Mian Nawaz Sharif Kamran Murtaza added, The Sharif family members were released following constitutional procedure and we all are preclude to obey the laws.
