QUETTA: The 7ty Muharram Procession was observed in provincial Quetta on Tuesday with due reverence remembering the battle of Karbla led by Imam Hussain (RA).

QUETTA: The 7ty Muharram Procession was observed in provincial Quetta on Tuesday with due reverence remembering the battle of Karbla led by Imam Hussain (RA).

Amid tight security the 7th Muharram Procession was culminated in the provincial capital Quetta after the procession marched on Quetta’s Liaquat Bazar, Archar Road and Prince Road on Wednesday evening.

Strict Security measures were adopted during the procession as more than 3000 troops of Balochistan Police, Frontier Corps, ATF and Balochistan Constabulary were deployed on the routes of the procession.

The 7th Muharram Procession of Imam Bargah Kalan and Nasir ul Aza was commenced from Prince road and ended up at the same point after marching various road of the capital.

“Since morning we have been sweeping the route of procession with the cooperation of business community and citizens lives around the routes.” CCP Quetta Abdul Razzaq Cheema said adding after consecutive session with Shia elders and Business community we have utilized strict security measure to protect the procession.

The Shia elders expressed their full satisfaction over the security arrangements provided by the Provincial Government and assured their full cooperation with District Administration and Security Forces following Muhammrad Processions.

President Balochistan Shia Conference Syed Dawood Agha while talking to Journalists said, six groups of mourners from Alamdar road and Hazara Town participated in today’s procession and as per decided the procession was ended up on scheduled time,

“The mourners and Shia community has expressed full satisfaction towards the security arrangements being handled by Law Enforcement Agencies.” Adding we are optimistic that the whole solemnity of Muharram would be completed with peace and harmony.
