QUETTA: At least six civilians injured in a hand grenade attack in Kharan city targeting security forces’ convoy on Monday night.

QUETTA: At least six civilians injured in a hand grenade attack in Kharan city targeting security forces’ convoy on Monday night.

According to Levis Force, unidentified persons hurled a hand grenade on forces’ convoy passing through a main bazara of Kharan city injuring six civilians, “The attackers managed to escape after the attack taking benefits of rush and narrow streets of the area.”

A heavy contingent of Law Enforcement Agencies flanked with rescue workers rushed the spot and shifted the injured to District Headquarter Hospital.

Three critical injured had been referred to Quetta for better medical treatment due to their critical wounds however three injured had been announced stable by doctors.

So far no group claimed responsibility of the attack but Baloch separatist groups were remained active in the area of attacking forces and labours belonged to Punjab.

Security forces have cordoned-off the area and search operation to hunt the attackers is underway.
